Content and Context Aware Information Classification Extends Dynamic Encryption Capabilities for Confidential and Sensitive Data
MEDFORD, NJ and LISBON, PORTUGAL--(Marketwire - Mar 5, 2013) - Watchful Software, a leading provider of data-centric information security solutions, announced today the release of RightsWATCH Version 4.5, which extends the ability for automatic labeling and encryption of sensitive information to protect sensitive information in today's corporate environments.
RightsWATCH has seen rapid market acceptance due to its ability to deliver a transparent and intuitive user experience for protecting sensitive data across multiple platforms and file types. RightsWATCH 4.5 extends the users' ability to complete content and context aware information labeling and encryption across additional file types, with more detailed rules and policies, as well as extending the dynamic classification capabilities of the product which allows information to be secured more easily. For many of today's largest corporations, the real-time ability to ensure that only the right people are accessing and using sensitive information is paramount to leveraging their investment in information protection and control systems and policies in an ever changing corporate reality.
"Users' claims over sensitive content must always be addressed in the scope of not only who the user is, but also in the context of their need to know confidential information that is specific to their project or department scope. RightsWATCH 4.5 provides a multilayer security profile management tool which enables corporations to set the access and user rights over the information for every single user in any given time," stated Rui Melo Biscaia, Director of Product Management for Watchful Software. "This means that the information security policy can be set so that a user may only have access to information labeled confidential within a particular project scope, or within a specific company department."
Among the key enhancements version 4.5 brings to RightsWATCH are the increased ability to provide audit and compliance protection through intelligent watermarking of sensitive data both visually and through 'invisible' metadata. RightsWATCH also allows for a complete audit trail on user and system administrators actions taken on classified information, enabling companies to easily be in compliance with regulatory laws and market sector requirements. Further, RightsWATCH version 4.5 extends the ability to educate users on how to put into practice the company's defined information security policies, which decreases corporate liability in case of an information security breach. At the same time, RightsWATCH 4.5 allows for a smooth deployment and roll out, making it possible to start small and grow with an extremely low learning curve.
