Cryptographic Locker is a new variant of ransomware that aims to provide ransomware services to those on a budget. Delivered primarily as a secondary dropper, Cryptographic Locker does what every other piece of ransomware does—encrypts your data and demands payment. Initial ransom begins with a demand of .2 Bitcoin (at time of writing, $97.28USD) within the first 24 hours. After that, the ransom increases and the twenty-four hour window starts over.
